I have mentioned before that the dinner table seems to be one of the best place to hear hilarious and sometimes intriguing comments from the kids. While eating last night Marcelo and I were listening to some information about the presidential race on the news. This is the first year that both of us have been really interested and involved in the political process and I suppose the kids have picked up more then I thought!
Amy: "mom where is the girl president"
Mom: "she's not running for president anymore" (not wanting her to lose the dream that it is possible for a woman to be president, as an afterthought I added) "next time maybe another women will run for president"
"Amy: "oh, mom, she must not have said the right words"
(right now I am marveling at her intuitivness, only to be surprised and delighted by her next statement)
Amy: "When I am president I'll always say all of the right words!"
Papi: "Thats right! You would be a great president"
(not to be outdone by his sister Nicolas just has to one up her!)
Nicolas: "Well, when I grow up I am going to be God!"
In his little 5 year old mind....the only thing more powerful then the President of the United States....God. hmmm

You are such a darling family! I LOVE to read what you are doing and see how the kids are growing! What precocious comments about the President and God!!!! Your mom would love it that they are taking an interest in politics. You remember how into that she was! I love you guys and miss you, but am happy to see you doing so well. My thoughts are with you so often. Keep up the good work at making family "numero uno". It is beautiful to watch! Love, Aunt Jeanne xoxo
I just loved reading everything that is going on with your family. I miss you guys terribly and I am so thankful for all of you.
I have to say that Amy and Nicolas are the cutest kids! I love what they both said at the dinner table. That made me smile! It is amazing how much kids pick up on! Amy and Nicolas are absolutely precious-Tay and Layna think so too!
Meg, your blog is fabulous!
Love you,
Mel

I miss my little Princess Amy and Super Hero Nicolas... I can't wait to see you guys again! We have to make sure that Mario is able to join us at the next reunion. Ok my darlings, hope you're doing great over there. Kisses for everyone!
